Azure VMs are designed to meet diverse business needs by offering secure, efficient, and flexible cloud instances. Its variety of VM types caters to a wide spectrum of workloads, including general-purpose computing, memory-intensive applications, and high-performance tasks.
This report presents comprehensive findings from Infobell IT's extensive and independent performance benchmarking of the top two general-purpose instances on Azure Cloud, each with 16vCPU. The instances evaluated include:
- Standard_D16ds_v5 : Intel® Xeon® Platinum 8370C (Ice Lake)
- Standard_D16ads_v5 : AMD EPYC™ 7763V (Genoa)
